November is here already and I have been busy in my small studio working on a nude and then on a piece which reminded me of my sisters (who I am missing a great deal).  Roll on Xmas and the opening of the boarders as I am very keen on all of us being together again.

Firstly the nude has been done very like the one I sold at my exhibition last year as I have been asked to do more of this style so that’s what I have done using charcoal and pastels on pastelmat board, which I use all the time now.

The other piece is done in pastels also on pastemat board – which you can get from “softpastels.com.au” online, they also carry a large range of pastels – pencils etc – AND they are amazingly quick to deliver as well, which is a bonus.

Starting off with the sketch, which is the hard part for me – putting it all together –

Then comes the color selection – the fun part.  As it will be done in Art Deco style I am going to pick a really bright background and similar colors for their clothing –

All done and very happy with the way it turned out.  This work will probably be hung in “The Rigby”  –  I even like it in black and white.
