This piece was taken from a photograph in a book called “Movement” which my youngest granddaughter picked out for me to paint. Her and her sister are very good dancers, and it fills most of their after-school time and weekends. I keep waiting for them to give up and go onto other things, but they are still very dedicated. Obviously, they will do great things!! We are very proud grandparents!!
Soft Pastels on Pastelmat Board 100cm x 70cm. Keeping the colours in line with my latest works. Using lots of red, yellows, greens and blues. Am really enjoying the intense colours. Blending the darker hues are a bit of a trial but rewarding.
Still using Art Deco as my principal style with a modern twist.
