So the rain is never ending and this is my second week I have been stuck at home as a few weeks ago I hit my daughters car while backing out of the driveway. How can this happen? So stupid!! Anyway the car is still in the shop as they can’t get the parts from Cessnock because of the road blockages. Wow…
So I need to paint to let out all that frustration!! I have a piece I only just started and put away to work on Ben and the Timor children (which is at the framers at the moment – will take a photo of it when I get it home)
I started the “Little Black Dress” as I wanted to change the artwork I have hanging at “The Rigby” High Street Maitland
Its been so long since I started this piece that I can’t find the photographs I took when I started. So hence – no sketches sorry!
I find the fingers/hand holding a glass difficult. I also didn’t want to use too many colours – just black, greys and white – giving it a simple classic look.
The first two photos are shots taken in my studio – one with all the shutters open and the other closed, not sure which I prefer.
What do you think?
The last is a black and white of the original which I quite like as well – So easy to do on a phone!!
Easy enough to have some black and white prints done as well.
